Board Certified Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialists are charged with the diagnosis and treatment of advanced disease processes and chronic illnesses. Their scope encompasses the following body systems: endocrine, gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, hepatic (liver), kidney, reproductive and genitourinary, hematologic (blood). They also manage complex diseases that may be treatment resistant, such as diabetes.
