Lauren Songne

Lauren was born and raised in southeast Louisiana. She attended McNeese State University earning a B.S. in Agriculture with a concentration in Animal Science. During her undergraduate, she found an interest in research, became a part of the FFA, 4-H events, and worked with racehorses at Delta Downs. She has been in the veterinary field for 11 years, with experience with equine, large animal medicine, and small animal general practice. In 2015, Lauren moved to Austin, Texas with her husband and two dogs. Lauren has shown interest in orthopedics and surgery since starting her career in veterinary medicine. She joined the Mobile team in 2018, became an avid member of the fast-paced environment, and formed close relationships with the hospital staff around south Austin ever since. She continues to further her education to become licensed. In her free time, you can find her out at the barn riding trails on her horse, in the supporter section at Austin FC matches, and dancing two-step.
