Alicia K. Nye, DVM, MS
Surgeon
Dr. Alicia Nye was introduced to veterinary medicine at an early age as the daughter of an Army Veterinary Surgeon. Although her family moved frequently during her childhood, she proudly considers Texas home. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio before graduating with honors from the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine.
She went on to complete advanced training through internships at the University of Missouri and the Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center, then returned to Texas A&M to pursue a surgical residency and a Master of Science degree. Her research focused on improving aseptic techniques for small animal surgical preparation.
Following her residency, Dr. Nye practiced at a specialty veterinary hospital in Denver before returning to Texas to join Violet Crown Veterinary Specialists. She performs a wide range of orthopedic and soft tissue procedures, with particular interests in arthroscopy, minimally invasive surgery, and wound management.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Nye enjoys cooking and exploring Austin’s vibrant food and live music scenes.
